Practicing self-discipline - You are not as strong as you think! -

Practicing self-discipline - You are not as strong as you think! -

Realistically speaking, training with the kettlebell is much more than just a corrective or simple means to an end. There is a number on the ball, and that makes performance measurable. With the numbers, the ego grows.

This happens to everyone. Everyone enjoys success, and that’s a good thing. Achievements must be celebrated!

However, with rising numbers, self-discipline actually shrinks. This is a necessary evil; otherwise, you wouldn’t progress quickly. However, it’s not good. Do you remember what weight you started with in the Get Up? Which weight challenged you for the first time in the Swing? These weights usually don’t do that anymore, and that’s very unfortunate.

Above all, this is unfortunate for your self-discipline. Most people have already lost it in their excitement. I experienced the same thing and needed until the RKC certification to have it shown to me coldly.

When the Clean locks in and you visibly tremble, then the high training weights were unfortunately not always the right choice.

But there is hope. Just take the stress out and focus on what’s essential. Many of your training colleagues envy you not only because you can move big kettlebells but also, and above all, because every weight looks simply elegant and playful when moved.

After I have been working like a madman on my self-discipline, I would even go so far as to say it is a virtue in kettlebell sport.

It is also known that it can be difficult to move "small" kettlebells, as seen in the Bottom Up exercises. Here, more than just the bare number counts. It’s about mastering yourself, concentrating, and never losing focus. That’s what makes us strong. Take advantage of that, whether Bottom Up or not. Be 110% harder than the iron you are moving. Mentally.

Your body and your mind will thank you equally.

Because when every kettlebell is moved crisply and cleanly, no matter how big it is, training can be scaled better. Sessions can be harder or simply serve mobility. That’s what makes these kettlebells and their transfer to everyday life in the end. You can train with them every day.

Become strong and agile!

Did you know?

...just as an intense workout positively affects the appearance of your body and your strength, controlled self-discipline can help you improve your day-to-day life and how you deal with problems. You become calmer, and stress can be avoided more easily.
