Fitness for busy people

Fitness for busy people

Do you work a lot?
Do you want to stay fit and healthy alongside work and your free time, but have little time for sports?

Every busy professional knows the excuses when it comes to sports, and may have used them themselves: "I worked long today, should I still go to the gym? It's a bit late for the class. Should I drive there now? Then I would have to cancel my appointment this evening..."

At least that was the case for me until I discovered the kettlebell. I am a strong advocate of RKC kettlebell training as "everybody fitness," especially for busy people who value physical movement, strength, and health alongside their job and leisure time.

What factors helped me train successfully and sustainably with the kettlebell?

  • The kettlebell is small, portable, and compared to a membership in a mid-range gym, inexpensive.
  • No matter how my daily condition and motivation are, I have a clearly defined go-to program, a standard for me that always works and only takes 20 minutes.
  • I no longer have setup times, I don't go to a gym, I just change clothes and get started.
  • In professional life, efficiency is expected. For me, it is possible to make sports just as efficient with the kettlebell and not have to decide whether I will exercise today or engage in other activities. With the kettlebell, both is possible.

My tip: Choose a go-to workout that suits you. Your local RKC trainer can help you best with this. Design the workout so that it functions as a short, standalone program and meets as many of your training program requirements as possible.

Yes, the kettlebell also accompanies me on road trips. I can recommend the workout described below, short and snappy for you to follow along, for example in small hotel rooms.

Did you know?

...it's not so easy to learn the hardstyle kettlebell swing correctly? Two tips helped me advance in learning the swing: 1. Breathe behind the shield, inhaling with tense abdominal muscles. 2. The wide backswing, it defines the amplitude and intensity of the swing. Once you have successfully learned the swing, take the time to have your technique checked regularly. The journey is the goal!
